Project abandoned

Thought I ought to post a notification that the motor controller was not possible within the budget, so I had to get rid of the car. I managed to get some scrap value for it as a heavy car. Sad ending. I had high hopes for this project, but in the end it was a Jeep that my wife wanted, not a Pajero. She had a jeep before and loved it. I shall convert a jeep to electric one day and hopefully keep it for myself. Of course I would do all the possible cool off-road upgrades like bigger wheels and super knobbly tyres, wheel arch kit, suspension raise kit. It's just a dream now. I have an electric car at the moment that I made myself and you can see this at http://www.probatron.blogspot.com . Sorry to end this story with the car being scrapped, but the lesson to learn is that you need to have a reasonable budget to do a conversion. Anybody who can point me to a way of getting free Lithium batteries will be my eternal friend... Thanks...

  1. That's a shame, our 3.5 petrol engine has been a constant source of pain so I was thinking it could be a perfect conversion candidate, deleting the transmission entirely and going front or rear wheel drive only
